It actually hasn’t been half bad. I have a decent routine to manage the morning sickness and if I smell something bad I try to leave the area because it’s usually me.
7am wake up and take anti-nausea meds…lay there for about an hour
9am get a carn heavy breakfast with some protein and take supplements
11am have lunch with my husband, usually some carbs
12pm take a nap
1pm I’m hungry again, so I scrounge for something to eat
3pm try not to eat too much since my husband will be home soon, but I am starving already. Sometimes I have fruit about now
5pm dinner #1 and it’s usually the only keto meal of the day
7pm yes, I’m freaking hungry again, so I look for a keto snack like nuts. I don’t always find a keto snack but I always find something and i have my evening supplements
9pm nausea meds and then sleep
I am no longer trying to remain in ketosis, just trying to survive. I haven’t gained any weight and am actually down about 2lbs since finding out that I am pregnant.
It’s an easy life on paper. But it’s a struggle in prpractice. Making a baby is serious business and its hard on my body.
I feel as though this stage may pass soon and I look forward to returning back to keto. I think I will feel better, more awake and energetic.
As for this week, I’m going to Isla Mujares with a bestie. It’s a small island just off the mainland of Cancun, Mexico. Travel days will be rough…I’ll report back with pics of the adventure :p
